In May 2018, singer Kiyoko sparked controversy by claiming Rita Ora’s song “Girls” was dangerous.
Her comment came shortly after Ora released her single and collaborated with Cardi B, Bebe Rhexa, and Charli XCS.
He mocked Ora and said she took inspiration from Katy Perry’s 2008 song I Kissed A Girl.
She described the viral trend of impersonating the LGBTQ community negatively as dangerous.
The famous young star said that girls drinking wine is a harmful cliché of the trend because they don’t know any better.

Despite the deep controversy, Rita responded to Kiyoko’s comments saying people should not be that narrow-minded. But, she later replied in a meaningful manner, saying:
